NAPPA SALAD   crabber1949

Can also be made with bagged coleslaw or
  Broccoli Slaw.

  1 head of nappa cabbage, torn bite size
  1 bunch green onions, chopped
  Put this in the fridge for 3 hours for flavours
  to blend.
 
  2 pkg Mr. Noodles soup...crush the noodles
  1 cup slivered almonds
  1/3 cup sesame seeds
  1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  In a bowl mix all together. Pour 1/2 cup melted
  butter over and mix to coat well.
  Spread out on baking sheet and roast in oven until
  golden brown. Watch it closely.
 
  DRESSING: you can double, triple or however many
  times you wish the dressing. Keep it in the cupboard.
  3 tblsp. soya sauce
  2/3 cup olive oil
  1/2 cup vinegar
  2/3 cups sugar
  Mix together & microwave to dissolve sugar.
  Let cool. DO NOT refrigerate....store at room temp.

 
CRANBERRY WALDORF SALAD 
 
2 cups fresh cranberries
3 cups minature marshmellows
3/4 cup sugar
2 cups diced unpeeled apples
1/2 cup seedless grapes
1/2 cup broken walnut pieces
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup whipped cream
 
Grind cranberries and combine other ingredients , except grapes, cover and chill overnight. Garnish with grapes and serve. Yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 
rast's        9 cup Salad
1 cup mara cherries
1 cup mandarine oranges
1 cup pineapple chunks
1 cup peaches
1 cup pears
1 cup fresh grapes
1 cup coconut
1 cup mini marshmallows
1 cup sour cream
Drain all canned fruit, mix together & keep in fridge at least overnight

POTATO AND HAM SOUP
 
10 POTATOES (CUT BITE SIZE)
2 CUPS OF PRE COOKED HAM
1/2 CUP BUTTER  OR MARG.
1 tsp. RED PEPPER FLAKES
1 ONION (DICED)
1/2 CUP FLOUR
1 BAG SHREDDED CHEDDAR CHEESE
4 CUPS MILK
 
COOK POTATOES UNTIL ALMOST DONE, DUMP IN STRAINER, PUT BUTTER AND ONION AND PEPPER FLAKES  IN SAME PAN, COOK UNTIL ONION IS TENDER. PUT IN FLOUR, ADD MILK SLOWLY, MIXING TILL SMOOTH AND ADD POTATOES, AND HAM.
LET SIMMER , STIRRING FREQUENTLY , ADD MORE MILK TILL DESIRED CONSISTENCY. ADD CHEESE AND MELT , IT'S SOUP!
 
THIS MAKES A BIG POT, BUT WILL GIVE EXTRA FOR FREEZING FOR THOSE COLD DAYS COMING THIS WINTER.  HOPE YOU LIKE IT.
